Plain English summary: KYROS is a marketplace — we connect security guards with clients. We don't employ the guards. Clients pay after the shift is completed and attendance is confirmed. Both sides must behave professionally. If something goes wrong, raise it with us within 24 hours.

1. About KYROS
KYROS Technologies Limited ("KYROS", "we", "us", "our") is a company registered in England and Wales under Company Number 17007413. Registered address: 116 Brooker Road, Waltham Abbey, EN9 1JH. Contact: info@kyros.tech
KYROS operates a digital marketplace (the "Platform") available via mobile app and web. The Platform enables independent security professionals ("Security Professionals" or "Guards") to find and accept work from event companies, venues, and agencies ("Clients").
Important: KYROS is a technology platform only. We do not provide security services and we do not employ Security Professionals. All security services are delivered by independent contractors.
By creating an account or using the Platform in any way, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Using the Platform
To use KYROS you must:
- Be aged 18 or over
- Provide accurate and truthful information at all times
- Keep your contact details and account information up to date
- Use only one account per person
- Not share your login credentials with anyone
- Not use the Platform for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
KYROS reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that breaches these Terms, with 7 days' written notice for minor breaches or immediately in cases of fraud, serious misconduct, or safety concerns.
3. For Security Professionals (Guards)
Eligibility
To work as a Security Professional on KYROS you must at all times:
- Hold a valid SIA licence appropriate to the role you are applying for (where required)
- Have legal right to work in the United Kingdom
- Be physically fit and capable of carrying out security duties
Verification
KYROS is a registered SIA licence status checker. All Security Professionals' licences are verified in real time through the official SIA portal prior to account activation. Guards with expired, revoked, or suspended licences are automatically suspended from the Platform.
You must submit a selfie, SIA licence photo, and right-to-work document during registration. You consent to KYROS retaining these documents for the duration required by law.
Independent Contractor Status
You operate as an independent contractor — not an employee, worker, agent, or representative of KYROS. You are responsible for your own tax returns and National Insurance contributions under HMRC Self Assessment. You are not entitled to holiday pay, sick pay, pension contributions, or any employment benefits from KYROS.
Attendance and Conduct
- Once you accept a booking it must be honoured. Arrive at least 15 minutes before your shift starts.
- Present yourself professionally in the required uniform (default: smart black attire).
- Remain alert, sober, and focused throughout the shift. Do not consume alcohol or drugs before or during a booking.
- Follow reasonable on-site instructions from the Client's representative.
- Report any incidents or concerns to KYROS promptly via the Platform.
- Aggressive behaviour, negligence, or serious misconduct will result in immediate removal from the Platform.
4. For Clients (Event Companies)
As a Client you must:
- Provide a safe, legal, and properly insured working environment
- Give clear and accurate briefings to Security Professionals on site
- Designate a named, accessible point of contact at the venue
- Treat all Security Professionals with professionalism and respect
- Hold appropriate event insurance for your venue and event
KYROS is not responsible for on-site supervision once Security Professionals are deployed. The Client retains responsibility for on-site management.
When posting a booking you must accurately specify: event type, full venue address and postcode, dates and exact shift times, number of staff required, uniform or equipment requirements, and any relevant special instructions.
5. Bookings and Shifts
Clients create job requests specifying their requirements. Security Professionals may browse open shifts and submit applications. Clients review applicants and confirm their selection through the Platform.
A booking is confirmed when the Client accepts a Security Professional's application. Both parties are notified immediately via the Platform.
KYROS does not guarantee the availability of Security Professionals for any given shift, nor does it guarantee that any application will be accepted.
6. Payments
Post-shift payment model
KYROS operates a post-shift payment model. Clients are charged after the shift is completed and attendance has been confirmed on the Platform — not at booking. This protects both parties.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Clients receive a Stripe receipt and invoice for every booking. KYROS never stores card details.
Guard payouts
Funds are released to Security Professionals after the Client confirms shift completion. Payouts are processed within 2–5 working days. A minimum payout threshold of £50 applies.
KYROS service fee
KYROS charges a service fee on each booking. The percentage varies by industry type and is shown to Clients before submitting an event. Guards see only their net take-home rate.
7. Cancellations and No-Shows
Client cancellations
- More than 48 hours before the shift: full refund excluding KYROS service fee
- Less than 48 hours before the shift: partial refund at KYROS discretion
- Same-day cancellation or no-show: no refund. Confirmed Security Professionals receive their agreed rate.
Guard cancellations
- More than 48 hours before the shift: no penalty
- Less than 48 hours: late-cancellation flag added to your profile
- No-show or same-day cancellation: serious flag; payout withheld pending review
- Three late-cancellation flags in 90 days triggers account review and possible suspension
8. Ratings and Conduct
Both Clients and Security Professionals are asked to rate each other after every completed shift. Persistent low ratings or conduct issues may result in account review, suspension, or permanent removal.
All users are prohibited from posting false or defamatory reviews, coercing other users into positive reviews, or any form of harassment, discrimination, or abuse.
9. Disputes
Any dispute must be raised through the KYROS Platform within 24 hours of the shift ending. KYROS will review and respond within 5 working days. Payment may be held pending resolution. KYROS's reasonable decision on disputes is final on the Platform.
10. Liability
KYROS provides technology infrastructure only and does not supervise, direct, or control the actions of Security Professionals or Clients on site.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, KYROS is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or claim arising from the conduct of any user, and KYROS's total liability to any user shall not exceed the total fees paid by or to that user in the preceding 12 months.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by KYROS's own negligence, or for fraud.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on the KYROS Platform and website — including the name, logo, design, code, and text — is the intellectual property of KYROS Technologies Limited. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.
12. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting info@kyros.tech. Any pending bookings, payouts, or disputes must be resolved first. KYROS may suspend or terminate accounts immediately for serious breaches including fraud, violence, false identity documents, or operating without a valid SIA licence.
13. Cookies
Our website uses:
- Essential cookies — required for the site to work. Cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies — help us improve the site. Only set with your consent.
You can accept or decline non-essential cookies using the banner shown on your first visit. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies and do not share cookie data for marketing.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. KYROS may update these Terms at any time with 14 days' email notice. Continued use after that period constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
